11/04/2004 NOVILON INT. CRONACA IN INGLESE - Bertine Spijkerman (@Home Cycling Team) took the sprint in the final stage against the strength of three other team lead outs. Spijkerman's win in front of her home crowd, wraps up the three day tour in the Netherlands with yesterdays winner Sissy Alebeek (Mix Team Farm Frites) safely holding onto her lead of the tour with a third place in today's stage. On a very windy day the pace was fast and furious with the Farm Frites team taking control from the word go. Due to the nature of the course the wind either made for a fast tail wind or a strong headwind but not a lot of crosswind sections. There was still a lot of tension in the bunch and quite a few crashes on the narrow roads, with riders trying to position themselves to stay out of the wind. Farm Frites stayed well in control and nothing was able to escape. The race ended with a 110 person bunch sprint at the end of the flat 60km day. Farm Frites, the German National team and Nobili Rubinetterie all put their team on the front to lead out their sprinters, but it was Spijkerman who was able to come around and take the win, with Olga Slyusareva taking second from Albeek. Second in the overall was Kirsten Wild (Home Cycling Team), followed by Sharon Van Essen (Vrienden v/h Platteland). www.cyclingnews.com - Kristy Scrymgeour Results 1 Bertine Spijkerman (Ned) @Home Cycling Team 1.28.04 2 Olga Slyusareva (Rus) SC Nobili Rubinetterie 3 Sissy Alebeek (Ned) Mix Team Farm Frites 4 Giorgia Bronzini (Ita) Mix Safi Pasta Zara Man. 5 Diedre Demet-Barry (USA) Mix Team SATS T-Mobile 6 Camila Larsson (Swe) Mix Moving Ladies 7 Charlotte Becker (Ger) National Team Deutschland 8 Nicole Freedman (Isr) Basis Aude 9 Lorna Webb (GBr) Great Britain National 10 Janneke Vos (Ned) Therme Skin Care 11 Debby Mansveld (Ned) Vlaanderen T Interim 12 Marije Profijt (Ned) Vrienden v/h Platteland 13 Inge Klep (Ned) Mix Moving Ladies 14 Suzanne De Goede (Ned) Team Ton van Bemmelen 15 Tanja Hennes (Ger) Team Next 125 16 Loes Gunnewijk (Ned) Vrienden v/h Platteland 17 Kirsty Miggels (Ned) Vrienden v/h Platteland 18 Priska Doppmann (Swi) Mix Lets Go Finland 19 Kirsten Wild (Ned) @Home Cycling Team 20 Kathleen Vermeiren (Bel) Merida Ladies CT/Eemland 21 Heidi Van De Vijver (Bel) Mix WSV Emmen 22 Veronique Belleter (Bel) Vlaanderen T Interim 23 Sandra Rombouts (Ned) Merida Ladies CT/Eemland 24 Sabrina Raaymakers (Ned) Therme Skin Care 25 Erika Vilunaite (Ltu) Mix Safi Pasta Zara Man. 26 Jolanda Van Dongen-Cools (Ned) Team Ton van Bemmelen 27 Barbara Heeb (Swi) Lietzsport Cycling 28 Frances Newstead (GBr) Great Britain National 29 Madeleine Sandig (Ger) Team Euregio Egrensis 30 Irene Van De Broek (Ned) Therme Skin Care 31 Marion Clignet (Fra) Basis Aude 32 Charlotte Goldsmith (GBr) Great Britain National 33 Jane Knietsch (Ger) National Team Deutschland 34 Michelle Hyland (NZl) New Zealand Cycling 35 Christine Mos (Ned) Therme Skin Care 36 Naiara Telletxea Lopez (Spa) Mix Bizkaia Pansasoft 37 Josephine Groenveld (Ned) Team Ton van Bemmelen 38 Annette Beutler (Swi) Lietzsport Cycling 39 Iosine Murillo (Spa) Mix Bizkaia Pansasoft 40 Rebecca Mcconnel (Aus) Mix Lets Go Finland 41 Claudia Stumpf (Ger) National Team Deutschland 42 Isabella Wieser (Aut) Lietzsport Cycling 43 Arenda Grimberg (Ned) Therme Skin Care 44 Sharon Van Dromme (Bel) Vlaanderen T Interim 45 Anouk De Veen (Ned) Mix WSV Emmen 46 Sigrid Corneo (Ita) SC Nobili Rubinetterie 47 Clarissa Breuer (Ger) Team Euregio Egrensis 48 Suzanne Kuipers (Ned) Mix WSV Emmen 49 Sharon Van Essen (Ned) Vrienden v/h Platteland 50 Madeleine Lindberg (Swe) Eq.
